Coupon Clipping Tips

Today I would like to share a few helpful tips when clipping coupons:

* PLAN A TIME TO CLIP, SORT AND ORGANIZE YOUR COUPONS EACH WEEK:
The most important part of clipping and saving is being organized. You have to be
able to find your coupons when you need them, so find a method that works for you
and stick with it.

* BUY MULTIPLE SUNDAY PAPERS:
I buy 3-6 papers per week. The reason I do this is when I find a really good deal on a particular item I can stockpile.
For Example:
Kroger had a sale 10 for 10 ($1 each) of Bounty paper towels.
I had several $1 off purchase of 2 Bounty paper towel coupons.
Kroger (m59 & Oak Grove) doubled my coupon making it $2 off 2.
Kroger allows 3 identical coupons per day.
So I was able to get 6 free paper towels each time I went to Kroger.

* FIND A COUPON BUDDIES:
Find buddies that share deals with you.
For example: If I have a pet and you have a baby we could trade coupons to help each other.
BE GENEROUS - SHARE AND GIVE!

Have a wonderful clip & save day!

More Kroger Fun

I just couldn't help myself and went to Super Kroger again. I found some more great deals today.
The free items were: 6-suave shampoo, 1-aquafresh toothpaste, 3-McCormick salt & pepper grinders.

The Hefty gallon size storage bags after coupon were only .49 each, the bags of cat litter came in at .99 each and the Breyer Carb Smart Ice Cream only 1.40 each.

If anyone is wondering about the Huggies baby wipes which were only .11 each with coupon, don't worry they are not for me. My friend Lori is putting together a gift basket for her cousin who's baby shower is at the end of the month and we are working on trying to fill the basket with as much as we can to help her cousin get started.

One of the wonderful things about clipping coupons and saving money is helping others.

Another Great Tip:
VG's has triple coupons up to .99 with restrictions.
Thank You Cheryl for passing along this great tip.

Printable Coupons

Today I would like to talk about printable coupons. Specifically, what they are, how they can be used, where to find them.

What is a Printable Coupon? Printable coupons are manufacturer and store coupons that you can print off of the web. Most printable coupons can be printed twice per computer. Sometimes you will be asked to load software on to your PC that will allow you to print coupons, but the process is typically quick and painless. This software is required by some sites so that the bar codes will print properly on the coupons.

How can I use printable coupons? Printable coupons can be used just like you use the coupons that you find in your newspaper inserts. If you have ever printed a coupon off of the web, you may notice that some of them say "do not double". It has been my experience that most stores will double these coupons if their store policy is to double coupons up to a certain amount, however this also varies by store. Like coupon insert coupons, some printable coupons are store coupons and others are manufacturer's coupons. Most stores allow you to "stack" or use a store AND a manufacturer's coupon on one product. For example if you print a Target store coupon for Colgate toothpaste, and have a manufacturer's coupon from either the web or a coupon insert, you should be able to use both coupons in on one product. Again, this policy varies by store, so be sure to check with your local stores to better understand their policy.

Where do I find printable coupons? Here are a few of my favorite sites:
couponmom.com
shopathome.com
redplum.com

If you are looking for a specific printable coupon that you can't find anywhere, always check out the manufacturer website. Most sites have a "special offers" or "promotions" page that sometimes contain great printable coupons!

Most coupons can be printed twice per computer and reset on the 1st of the month.

Please share any ideas you have and be sure to check back for more money saving tips.
